The Blue Train, one of South Africa’s most well-known tourism icons, is now offering corporates the opportunity to tailor-make their own Blue Train route. The train can be chartered for strategic meetings, product launches, VIP cocktail parties, lunches, dinners and even wedding receptions, with a variety of different routes as an option. The Conference Car, which is found in one of the two train sets, accommodates up to 22 delegates, is fully equipped with audio-visual and technical equipment for a high level business meeting or a small conference.
With all the excitement of the recent Olympics in London, and whilst our heroic South African Olympians were celebrating their Olympic medals, The Blue Train was celebrating a “Silver” of its own!
The Blue Train was proud and delighted to be announced as Runner Up at the exclusive Conde Nast Traveller Readers’ Travel Awards in the category of “Favourite Specialist Train Operator”.
The Blue Train, South Africa’s “Blue Jewel” has undergone various upgrades which are sure to continue to set it apart from its competitors. These upgrades include soft refurbishments of the train’s interiors, upgrading its technology as well as all its critical safety components.
Following the achievement of being awarded the highly contest 2011 World’s Leading Luxury Train award at the World Travel Awards prize giving ceremony in Doha, Qatar recently, The Blue Train continues to add to its assortment of awards by being recognised with South Africa’s Short List award at the inaugural Media24 online 2012 South African Wine List Awards. The Blue Train was also awarded with this award for the Gauteng Region.
